Relics loan players shine for Maccabi

The Relics loaned three players to Maccabi for their Greater Manchester Walking Football Over 60’s League 3 games on 14th October 2021.
Relics players Pat Fitz, Andy Rich and Mark T were drafted in to help the depleted Maccabi squad. They all came out with glowing accolades. Thanks to young Chris F for the Report below.

Well done today to the Relics who played.
You really made the difference for Maccabi today, and ultimately some good results including the dominant 4-0 victory.
Andy was the go to man throughout, all the play went through him and a goal there for his efforts. Mark was solid and composed at the back and played the ball out well when he actually got time on the pitch (which wasn’t enough in my opinion). And Pat the cat had a penalty save, and definitely kept the side in for the draw in the final match with some fantastic keeping.

Mike Dickson from Maccabi sent the following email appreciating our loanees …

Dear Keiran
I would like to thank you and the boys who played for us today.
All the our guys really appreciated the efforts of Pat, who kept us in all the games and Andy and Mark for their contributions.
It made a fantastic difference to our lads to go into every game thinking we had a chance of winning and to leave Heywood with heads held high.
Please pass on our thanks to everyone.

Kind regards,

Mike
