Due to COVID restrictions and the number of players / officials / spectators that will be on site at Heywood on each game day it’s not possible to run the normal league fixtures at the moment.
The proposal from the GMWFL is to organise a Spring / early Summer league for Manchester based teams only playing games on a home and away basis.
GMWFL has enrolled 10 teams for the over 60’s, 9 teams for the over 65’s, and 4 teams for the over 70’s. The Relics has entered one team in each age group.
Discussions on league formats, game duration times, and frequency are still ongoing. Fixtures are anticipated to start in April.
